Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Concetto Oroni to make the kick off. Eugenio Mattioli kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. If Concetto Oroni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. Edmondo Bottaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Oroni, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Edmondo Bottaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Oroni in the 93rd minute of play. Philadelphia Union's Edmondo Bottaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Oroni in the 96th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
