Spectators: 6794 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1694, VIP seats: 100) A.S.★P.I.E.V.E.★'s Amos Rinaldi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ciccio Troilo was a little too slow when Fabio Motta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. When Dino Stella fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.S.★P.I.E.V.E.★'s protests and gave Dino Stella a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes A.S.★P.I.E.V.E.★ got a freekick which was hit by Dino Stella. Fabio Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniele Domenici kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Anfilogino Mastrocola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amos Rinaldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Motta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciccio Troilo having to make a save. If Ciro Tiberio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 18 minutes of play, Catona's Ciro Tiberio made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciccio Troilo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amos Rinaldi kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After some careless play in the A.S.★P.I.E.V.E.★ defense, Fabio Motta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciccio Troilo. The A.S.★P.I.E.V.E.★ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciccio Troilo should have stopped the shot. When Fabio Motta came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Catona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Motta couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabio Motta in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciccio Troilo saved A.S.★P.I.E.V.E.★ from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabio Motta was the one to do the kick off. Amos Rinaldi might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anfilogino Mastrocola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amos Rinaldi ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Fabio Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catona's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciccio Troilo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd minute Fabio Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciccio Troilo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Motta in the 67th minute of play forced A.S.★P.I.E.V.E.★'s goalkeeper Ciccio Troilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Ciro Tiberio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Amos Rinaldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Anfilogino Mastrocola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Fabio Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Catona fully deserved thier win.
