Davide Marrone came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcel Costache slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 12th minute. Marcel Costache might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Davide Marrone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcel Costache ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute, Marcel Costache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Armin Pietrantoni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Marco Simone's Marcel Costache nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Davide Marrone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Marcel Costache struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Davide Marrone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marco Simone. Davide Marrone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Costache in the 45th minute of the match. Marcel Costache had several of the REAL MASSERIA's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 47 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Davide Marrone as he didn't even see the shot coming.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcel Costache to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcel Costache scored 5-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davide Marrone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Davide Marrone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcel Costache's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. With a left leg Davide Marrone saved REAL MASSERIA from getting behind. 83 minutes into the match, Armin Pietrantoni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Davide Marrone. REAL MASSERIA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armin Pietrantoni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Marcel Costache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Davide Marrone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Cosimo Felli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Davide Marrone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Costache in the 94th minute of play forced REAL MASSERIA's goalkeeper Davide Marrone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Simone's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
