Beppe Guerrieri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Emanuele Cicchetti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beppe Guerrieri was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After 14 minutes, Emanuele Cicchetti made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Carraie FC's Beppe Guerrieri tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Beppe Guerrieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuele Cicchetti in the 17th minute of play. Ermanno Falcioni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Emanuele Cicchetti might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beppe Guerrieri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuele Cicchetti ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th minute Emanuele Cicchetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Guerrieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Aldo Gizzi fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ravenna football club1913's protests and gave Aldo Gizzi a yellow card for diving instead. Aldo Gizzi hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Christian Pomponio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francesco Piano in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Dossena to strike the kick off in the second half. Emanuele Cicchetti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Beppe Guerrieri skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alberigo Ruggeri struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Beppe Guerrieri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ravenna football club1913. Beppe Guerrieri was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Emanuele Cicchetti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emanuele Cicchetti really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Ermanno Falcioni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuele Cicchetti did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Beppe Guerrieri 67 minutes into the match. Concetto Biancone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Beppe Guerrieri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Costantini hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Beppe Guerrieri acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Antonello Mozzoni. Emanuele Cicchettis short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Beppe Guerrieri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Emanuele Cicchetti came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Ravenna football club1913 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuele Cicchetti couldn't finish the play. Emanuele Cicchetti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beppe Guerrieri having to make a save. 87 minutes into the match, Carraie FC's goalkeeper Beppe Guerrieri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuele Cicchetti. After a defensive mix-up in Carraie FC's zone, Alberigo Ruggeri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beppe Guerrieri came out of the goal and Alberigo Ruggeri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 minutes of play, Carraie FC's Alfredo Dossena made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Pomponio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ravenna football club1913 played a much better game than Carraie FC and deserved their victory. The Carraie FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
