Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Carraie FC's Alfredo Dossena started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the game, Alfonso Chitarroni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Beppe Guerrieri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the game, Adriano Faieta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.C. Monvalle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carraie FC the free kick. A.C. Monvalle's Edmondo Romino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Dossena in the 25th minute of play. Biagio Vasco scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Beppe Guerrieri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute of the match, Alfredo Dossena tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edmondo Romino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Biagio Vasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Carraie FC's goal looked a bit too open when Biagio Vasco came free, but Beppe Guerrieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Francesco Piano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, one of A.C. Monvalle:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A.C. Monvalle. When the match had been going on for 41 minutes, Carraie FC's Beppe De Donatis got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Edmondo Romino. Arturo Castellani hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Biagio Vasco made the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Chitarroni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alfonso Chitarroni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biagio Vasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beppe Guerrieri having to make a save. In the 64th minute Alessandro Schiacciacasse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmondo Romino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Antonacci hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Edmondo Romino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Piano in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Arturo Castellani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmondo Romino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Piano, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. A collision led to A.C. Monvalle getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Biagio Vasco hit a great ball. Edmondo Romino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Piano in the 81st minute of play. If Alfredo Dossena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Biagio Vasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Guerrieri having to interfere. Francesco Piano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmondo Romino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The A.C. Monvalle supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing A.C. Monvalle would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
