But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Mara couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, GSD Federico Mosconi's goal looked a bit too open when Arrigo Manzi came free, but Claudio Danza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Marano AFC's zone, Carmine Romano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anfilogino Iacovacci came out of the goal and Carmine Romano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, Marano AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristoforo Simone came free, but Anfilogino Iacovacci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anfilogino Iacovacci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmine Romano, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Marano AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Alexander Bassani hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arrigo Manzi during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, Dave Marcon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enzo Gava's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Danza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Marano AFC's Arrigo Manzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Danza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Claudio Danza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arrigo Manzi in the 37th minute of the match. GSD Federico Mosconi's Carmine Romano got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Cristoforo Simone took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Anfilogino Iacovacci to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Claudio Danza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arrigo Manzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Marano AFC's Donato Mara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudio Danza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The supporters of GSD Federico Mosconi booed when Marano AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Bassani didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Arrigo Manzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Claudio Danza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Donato Mara struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Claudio Danza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marano AFC. Donato Mara's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Claudio Danza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The GSD Federico Mosconi supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Marano AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Marano AFC.
