Alvise Castelli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cesare Di Paola went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alvise Castelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Mazzei in the 21st minute of the match. Alexander Di Ianni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felice Del Monte in the 27th minute of the match. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rapallo! Emiliano Mazzei might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvise Castelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 43rd minute Emiliano Mazzei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvise Castelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half ssolimpia were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Alonzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Rapallo's zone, Emanuele Cipolla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvise Castelli came out of the goal and Emanuele Cipolla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bruno Alonzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rapallo's Alvise Castelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Rapallo from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francesco Negri during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Francesco Negri hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Bruno Alonzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise Castelli having to interfere. Alessio Testa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Alexander Di Ianni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded ssolimpia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rapallo.
