In the 6th minute of the match Elia Mazza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Demetrio Maurizi skillfully saved the ball. Rapallo's Alvise Castelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Rapallo from getting a goal against them. Demetrio Maurizi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felice Del Monte in the 11th minute of the match. When Alessio Testa came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Rapallo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessio Testa couldn't finish the play. Amerigo Nardi charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amerigo Nardi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to AS Porto Ercole getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Amerigo Nardi hit a great ball. After 16 minutes AS Porto Ercole's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Beppe Palmieri who took care of the corner kick. Rapallo's Beppe Palmieri was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Demetrio Maurizi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alessio Testa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Maurizi having to interfere. Demetrio Maurizi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felice Del Monte in the 21st minute of the match. AS Porto Ercole's Fausto Demaria came free and shot a quick shot against goal 25 minutes in the game, fortunately Alvise Castelli had problems saving as it came toward the left post. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Fausto Demaria put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alvise Castelli. If Alessio Testa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Rapallo's zone, Fausto Demaria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvise Castelli came out of the goal and Fausto Demaria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AS Porto Ercole's Demetrio Maurizi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felice Del Monte in the 46th minute of play. After some careless play in the AS Porto Ercole defense, Felice Del Monte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demetrio Maurizi. The AS Porto Ercole fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demetrio Maurizi should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felice Del Monte to make the kick off. In the 58th minute Felice Del Monte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demetrio Maurizi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in AS Porto Ercole's zone, Felice Del Monte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demetrio Maurizi came out of the goal and Felice Del Monte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Alessio Testa took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Demetrio Maurizi to make any attempt to save it. After 68 played minutes Rapallo got a freekick which was hit by Elia Mazza. Alvise Castelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Ferrante in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of AS Porto Ercole booed when Rapallo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Pozzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Demaria struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Alvise Castelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Porto Ercole. AS Porto Ercole's Demetrio Maurizi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felice Del Monte in the 78th minute of play. Demetrio Maurizi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felice Del Monte, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Alessio Testa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapallo's supporters rose to their feet, but Alessio Testa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Demetrio Maurizi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alessio Testa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Demetrio Maurizi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Rapallo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AS Porto Ercole.
