Daniele Uguccioni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Daniele Uguccioni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmondo Stefano's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tranneusai's goalkeeper Daniele Uguccioni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edmondo Stefano struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Daniele Uguccioni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palazzina. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

A collision led to Tranneusai getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Eraldo Prandini hit a great ball. After 62 minutes, Dino Palermo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palazzina and the Tranneusai players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Palazzina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Palermo to maneuver through the defense. After 63 played minutes Palazzina got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Stefano. Daniele Uguccioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenico Gigli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Raiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore Lucchetta having to interfere. Edmondo Stefano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tranneusai's Daniele Uguccioni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Tranneusai from getting a goal against them. Dave Lio's late challenge caught a Tranneusai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dave Lio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Palazzina getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Dave Lio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domenico Gigli in the 93rd minute of play forced Tranneusai's goalkeeper Daniele Uguccioni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniele Uguccioni stood somewhat misplaced when Domenico Gigli came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 97 minute. The Palazzina supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Palazzina would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
