In the 7th minute, Enzo Maldini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rottolandia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Caramagnetta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Saraceni came free, but Emilio Cinque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rottolandia's Anfilogino Balestra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Rottolandia from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute, Donato Saraceni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Caramagnetta AFC's Alberto Persia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, Caramagnetta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Fiorentino came free, but Emilio Cinque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Caramagnetta AFC's Eraldo Boninsegna seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Eraldo Boninsegna the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Caramagnetta AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Eraldo Boninsegna had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 26th minute, one of Caramagnetta AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caramagnetta AFC. Antonio Fanelli shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Alberto Persia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anfilogino Balestra having to interfere. Alberto Fortunato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Anfilogino Balestra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Persia in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anfilogino Balestra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alessio Palombi charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alessio Palombi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Caramagnetta AFC's Alessio Palombi got a free kick in the 38th minute. Emilio Cinque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Saraceni in the 39th minute of the match. When Alberto Persia came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Caramagnetta AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Persia couldn't finish the play. Anfilogino Balestra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Persia in the 44th minute. After the first half Rottolandia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 58th minute, Alberto Persia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anfilogino Balestra was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Fabrizio Giampietro kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Diego Pantalone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 66 minutes, Alberigo Fiorentino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rottolandia and the Caramagnetta AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alberigo Fiorentino hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, Rottolandia's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Persia came free, but Anfilogino Balestra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Pantalone during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anfilogino Balestra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caramagnetta AFC. There was no doubt that Caramagnetta AFC were the better team. Caramagnetta AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
