When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Fausto Polidori sped through Nugola's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Felice Pascucci. Adriano Di Marino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felice Pascucci having to interfere. If Adriano Di Marino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Adriano Di Marino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felice Pascucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nugola's Enzo Troiani got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Alberigo Antico fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nugola's protests and gave Alberigo Antico a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Nugola got a freekick which was hit by Alberigo Antico. Adriano Di Marino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Di Marino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. In the 37th match minute, Nugola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Troiani to maneuver through the defense. After 38 minutes of play, Cesano Boscone's Fausto Polidori made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felice Pascucci was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nugola's goalkeeper Felice Pascucci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damiano Santilli was the one to do the kick off.
