Ennio Patrizi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Diego Piretti made a huge save. Kim Gubitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bernardo Di Placido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Piretti was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Fausto Polidori capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fausto Polidori really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 27th match minute, Acilia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Cesaroni to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Di Placido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Grande in the 31st minute of play. Kim Gubitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Bernardo Di Placido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Kim Gubitz made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Acilia's Alberigo Cesaroni seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alberigo Cesaroni the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Acilia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alberigo Cesaroni had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Diego Piretti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Polidori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kim Gubitz scored 3-2 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardo Di Placido, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Acilia's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Polidori came free, but Diego Piretti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kim Gubitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Di Marino in the 72nd minute of play forced Acilia's goalkeeper Diego Piretti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd match minute, Cesano Boscone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arrigo Gizzi to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Acilia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cesano Boscone throughout the match.
