In the 3rd minute Florian Pace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Orrore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 6 minutes, Florian Pace managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florian Pace was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferruccio Angelini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Pace in the 9th minute of play forced Scintilla Tertenia's goalkeeper Dennis Orrore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pirri's Eraldo Di Iulio got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Scintilla Tertenia's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Giancola came free, but Dennis Orrore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Florian Pace had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dennis Orrore. Scintilla Tertenia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florian Pace was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pirri's Florian Pace got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Scintilla Tertenia's Dennis Orrore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Pace in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Scintilla Tertenia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alberigo Di Berardino was slow to take the kick. During this time Pirri's players had a chance to rest. Ferruccio Angelini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dennis Orrore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ferruccio Angelini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirri's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferruccio Angelini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Orrore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florian Pace fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Orrore having to interfere. If Florian Pace had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eraldo Di Iulio in the 34th minute of play forced Scintilla Tertenia's goalkeeper Dennis Orrore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferruccio Angelini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Dennis Orrore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Scintilla Tertenia's zone, Arturo Mingione stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Orrore came out of the goal and Arturo Mingione tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florian Pace recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferruccio Angelini was the one to do the kick off. Ferruccio Angelini struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Dennis Orrore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pirri. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio Angelini in the 52nd minute of play forced Scintilla Tertenia's goalkeeper Dennis Orrore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Orrore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferruccio Angelini, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Ferruccio Angelini scored 0-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dennis Orrore, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Scintilla Tertenia's Ercole Cicchini got a free kick in the 91st minute. The supporters of Scintilla Tertenia booed when Pirri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attilio Gentili didn't get a good kick on the ball. Scintilla Tertenia's Dennis Orrore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferruccio Angelini in the 96th minute of play.
