After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Carmine Raffa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lughignano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmine Raffa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Achille Canuto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damiano Ciarrocchi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrizio Patrizi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Belfiore in the 21st minute of play forced CAGNOLINI FC's goalkeeper Achille Canuto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Dossena got free with Fabrizio Patrizi in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the game, Enrico Marini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Achille Canuto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Achille Canuto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Raffa in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Belfiore in the 31st minute of play forced CAGNOLINI FC's goalkeeper Achille Canuto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, CAGNOLINI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Iacovacci came free, but Achille Canuto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in CAGNOLINI FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Damiano Ciarrocchi ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexander Dossena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Armin Spitaleri might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabrizio Patrizi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armin Spitaleri ran back to his position shaking his head. Lughignano FC's Fabrizio Patrizi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Di Girolamo in the 55th minute of play. Ernesto Belfiore hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Arrigo Petrucci kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, CAGNOLINI FC's Aldo Di Girolamo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabrizio Patrizi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Carmine Raffa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Achille Canuto. That made the score 1-3 in the 68 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aldo Di Girolamo during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Aldo Di Girolamo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Achille Canuto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carmine Raffa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 76 minute of play. In the 82nd minute of the match, Ernesto Belfiore got a very nice opportunity to score, but Achille Canuto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alexander Dossena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. After a rather tough play, CAGNOLINI FC's Aldo Di Girolamo got a free kick in the 85th minute. A collision led to Lughignano FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Carmine Raffa hit a great ball. CAGNOLINI FC's Armin Spitaleri got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damiano Ciarrocchi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexander Dossena struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Fabrizio Patrizi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAGNOLINI FC. Lughignano FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
