Spectators: 6682 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1682, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fortunato Galante started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Fabiano Tartaglia could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Dave Pari however easily saved by the left post. The goalkeeper, Dave Pari, was totally fooled by Epitaffio's Ernesto Magliocco, who 9 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of Quirico booed when Epitaffio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Tartaglia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Epitaffio's goalkeeper Carter Pedroni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dave Pari stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fortunato Galante's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Epitaffio's Filippo Maggi got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fortunato Galante during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Felice Giampietro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Fortunato Galante recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dave Pari. Fortunato Galante showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Camillo Bernardini struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Carter Pedroni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quirico. Ettore Abete took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carter Pedroni. Epitaffio's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carter Pedroni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Camillo Bernardini went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 36th match minute, Quirico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Russo to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute Camillo Bernardini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carter Pedroni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Quirico getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Beppe Pocobello hit a great ball. Fortunato Galante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabrizio Belardi during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabrizio Belardi hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 49th minute of the match Epitaffio got a corner. Quirico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ernesto Magliocco ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ernesto Magliocco made a great header on Epitaffio's corner, it was just that Quirico's Dave Pari managed to reach the ball for a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Camillo Bernardini in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carter Pedroni saved Epitaffio from getting behind. 59 minutes into the match, Quirico's goal looked a bit too open when Fortunato Galante came free, but Dave Pari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fabiano Tartaglia fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Epitaffio's protests and gave Fabiano Tartaglia a yellow card for diving instead. Fabiano Tartaglia kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Armin Goffredo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carter Pedroni quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dino Russo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Quirico's Dave Pari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Maggi in the 67th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Fortunato Galante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Pari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute of the game, Fabiano Tartaglia landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. During the 72nd minute of the match Fabrizio Belardi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fabrizio Belardi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 73 played minutes Quirico got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Belardi. In the 76th match minute, Epitaffio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonello Scutti to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Ernesto Magliocco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enzo Menichini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filippo Maggi struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute, Antonello Scutti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Epitaffio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 98 minutes into the match, Antonello Scutti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dave Pari. Quirico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonello Scutti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Epitaffio had won after a very even match.
