The tension between the AS Roma Club and the TARANTO F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, AS Roma Club's Federico Michelini got a free kick in the 5th minute. Achille Carozza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anthony Bartolomucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Frank Zoccolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Federico Buccella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Achille Carozza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frank Zoccolo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Frank Zoccolo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ercole Di Florio in the 22nd minute of play. Federico Buccella kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Ercole Di Florio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TARANTO F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercole Di Florio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31stth minute of the game Anthony Bartolomucci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AS Roma Club's Frank Zoccolo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Achille Carozza's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Frank Zoccolo firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Ferdinando Tuzzolino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ercole Di Florio to make the kick off. Anthony Bartolomucci hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Frank Zoccolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ercole Di Florio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 94 minutes, Ercole Di Florio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TARANTO F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercole Di Florio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ercole Di Florio came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the TARANTO F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ercole Di Florio couldn't finish the play. TARANTO F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
