Spectators: 6699 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1699, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Ercole Di Florio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ellera FC's Edmondo Liberatore. Edmondo Liberatore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 6 played minutes Ellera FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Olmi. 0-2 became the score in the 8th minute when Ercole Di Florio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 16th minute, TARANTO F.C.'s Flavio Di Paolo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Flavio Di Paolo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of TARANTO F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Flavio Di Paolo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 16 minutes into the game, one of TARANTO F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Corrado Tondi, was totally fooled by Ellera FC's Concetto Benarrivo, who 18 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 24th minute, Florian Andreozzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ferdinando Tuzzolino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmondo Liberatore having to interfere. Ellera FC's Edmondo Liberatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Carozza in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ellera FC's zone, Achille Carozza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmondo Liberatore came out of the goal and Achille Carozza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Florian Andreozzi came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Ellera FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florian Andreozzi couldn't finish the play. Corrado Tondi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Ciapponi in the 43rd minute of the match. The Ellera FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. TARANTO F.C. were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Florian Andreozzi made the kick off in the second half. If Achille Carozza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinando Tuzzolino's late challenge caught a Ellera FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferdinando Tuzzolino helped the player get up and apologised. Ferdinando Tuzzolino kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Franco Ciapponi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corrado Tondi having to interfere. Corrado Tondi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Ciapponi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Franco Ciapponi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, TARANTO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Florian Andreozzi came free, but Corrado Tondi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ellera FC's Edmondo Liberatore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Ellera FC from getting a goal against them. In the 91st match minute, Ellera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrizio Barresi to maneuver through the defense. Franco Ciapponi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. TARANTO F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
