The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eugenio Lemme might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonello Ceci. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugenio Lemme ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of A.C.Tornados booed when Pegli AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonello Cinalli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, A.C.Tornados's Davide Lalli broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Pegli AFC's Antonello Cinalli got a free kick in the 15th minute. If Eugenio Lemme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Attilio Landolfi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonello Ceci having to interfere. A.C.Tornados's Eugenio Lemme got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eugenio Lemme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Attilio Landolfi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ercole Fallito to strike the kick off in the second half. Eugenio Lemme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. The audience was convinced that Eugenio Lemme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonello Ceci was relentless in the 60th minute of the game.
