The referee ignored Barbaricina.'s protests and gave Arturo De Meis a yellow card for diving instead. 18 minutes into the match, Barbaricina.'s goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Sforza came free, but Dennis Torri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Sforza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Dennis Torri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Concetto Falone's late challenge caught a Barbaricina.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Concetto Falone helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Concetto Falone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ettore Bernardini made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Barbaricina.'s Dennis Torri got control of the ball when Fortunato Castagna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Concetto Falone was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Pitone FC's Concetto Falone got a free kick in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Cordarin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pitone FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barbaricina. the free kick. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
