In the 13thth minute of the game Andrea Di Iulio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alvarado's Domenico Schirru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute Florian Giammaria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Orsini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Achille Di Loreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Alessandro Orsini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Elia Sampo made a precise shot to the right of Domenico Schirru. Alvarado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Gambarara's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Giammaria came free, but Alessandro Orsini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Gambarara getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Davide Della Francesca hit a great ball. Andrea Di Iulio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Domenico Schirru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domenico Schirru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elia Sampo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of Gambarara booed when Alvarado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinando Mastrocola didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elia Sampo in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domenico Schirru saved Alvarado from getting behind. Elia Sampo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Domenico Schirru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gambarara. Elia Sampo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gambarara's Andrea Di Iulio got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Alvarado players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gambarara were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elia Sampo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Elia Sampo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Polo hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Alvarado's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Sampo came free, but Domenico Schirru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elia Sampo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Alvarado defense, Andrea Di Iulio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domenico Schirru. The Alvarado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domenico Schirru should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute, Andrea Di Iulio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Alvarado's Ferdinando Mastrocola got a free kick in the 75th minute. Andrea Di Iulio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domenico Schirru having to interfere. After 81 played minutes Alvarado got a freekick which was hit by Diego Polo. Gambarara's Camillo Gentile suffered a sprained foot after 85 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Diego Polo fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvarado's protests and gave Diego Polo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gambarara booed when Alvarado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Polo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute of the match Carlo Cieri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domenico Schirru showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Andrea Di Iulios short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Domenico Schirru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alvarado's Domenico Schirru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Alvarado from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the match, Gambarara's goal looked a bit too open when Achille Di Loreto came free, but Alessandro Orsini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Gambarara could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alvarado throughout the match.
