When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Armin Terenzi put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Federico Salvucci. After a rather tough play, Ejectors's Enzo Braccia got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 26thth minute of the game Alberigo Di Berardino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ejectors's Federico Salvucci was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aurelio Nicolini kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Ennio Morelli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Federico Salvucci. Ejectors's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alvise Corleone hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ejectors's Federico Salvucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Terenzi in the 33rd minute of play. Federico Salvucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberigo Di Berardino, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armin Terenzi couldn't finish the play. Olgiate Olona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberigo Di Berardino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th match minute, Ejectors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Di Marco to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Olgiate Olona were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Olgiate Olona's Alberigo Di Berardino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Federico Salvucci. That made the score 1-3 after 59 minutes of play. Emilio De Toni hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Braccia in the 65th minute of play forced Olgiate Olona's goalkeeper Dario Pio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armin Terenzi got free with Federico Salvucci in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alberigo Di Berardino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Salvucci having to interfere. Armin Terenzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Federico Salvucci made a huge save. Olgiate Olona played a much better game than Ejectors and deserved their victory. The Ejectors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
