Spectators: 6670 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Domenico Pantani started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Florian Menichini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ennio Bozzelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Fortunato Negrini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Comunardo Orlandi's late challenge caught a Olmo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Comunardo Orlandi helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Ercolano:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Olmo:s goal. Ennio Bozzelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28 minutes of play, Ercolano's Ennio Bozzelli made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fortunato Negrini was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute, Olmo's Domenico Pantani dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After 37 minutes, Alexander Rossetti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ercolano and the Olmo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ercolano's Alexander Rossetti got a free kick in the 37th minute. Fortunato Negrini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ennio Bozzelli in the 45th minute of the match. Ennio Bozzelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Negrini having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ennio Bozzelli made a kick off. If Alfonso Petroni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristoforo Candeloro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Petroni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Olmo's Ciccio Fava got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute of the match Ercolano got a corner. Olmo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anselmo Bolognini ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ennio Bozzelli struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Fortunato Negrini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ercolano. When Alexander Rossetti was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 77 minutes had been played. Alexander Rossetti hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domenico Pantani in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristoforo Candeloro saved Ercolano from getting behind. In the 88th minute Domenico Pantani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Candeloro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Petroni in the 90th minute of play forced Ercolano's goalkeeper Cristoforo Candeloro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristoforo Candeloro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domenico Pantani in the 93rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Olmo had won after a very even match.
