The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Armin Sacchetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Di Michele having to interfere. Alvise Penna took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelio Di Michele. Aurelio Di Michele dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Armin Sacchetti notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ceri AFC's Aurelio Di Michele. Aurelio Di Michele was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 27 minutes into the match, Ceri AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Armin Sacchetti came free, but Aurelio Di Michele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Solaro's zone, Cristiano Malandra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Donadoni came out of the goal and Cristiano Malandra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurelio Di Michele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvise Penna in the 35th minute of play. Anselmo Donadoni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Perazzolo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Ceri AFC's Aurelio Di Michele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Sacchetti in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Solaro were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Armin Sacchetti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Armin Sacchetti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Solaro's supporters rose to their feet, but Armin Sacchetti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Di Michele breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armin Sacchetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Aurelio Di Michele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Alvise Penna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aurelio Di Michele. The goal made the score 0-4. Aurelio Di Michele made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armin Sacchetti in the 94th minute. Solaro's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
