C U R E's Cristiano Stumpo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Ramoser in the 12th minute of play. When Fulvio Cavanna came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the A.C. C U R E fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulvio Cavanna couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute Alexander Gelsomini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Stumpo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Alexander Gelsomini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Stumpo was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After some careless play in the A.C. C U R E defense, Ernesto Ramoser kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Stumpo. The A.C. C U R E fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Stumpo should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, don pepino's goalkeeper Alex De Feo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bianco Placidi. After 34 played minutes A.C. C U R E got a freekick which was hit by Federico Barducci. Edoardo Toccaceli kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Alexander Gelsomini missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 41 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Cristiano Stumpo right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Gelsomini in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Stumpo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Ciro Savoia took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Cristiano Stumpo to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, A.C. C U R E's Cristiano Stumpo got control of the ball when Alexander Gelsomini tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th minute, Alexander Gelsomini sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and A.C. C U R E's Cristiano Stumpo didn't even have to move. After 70 minutes of play, A.C. C U R E's Fulvio Cavanna made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex De Feo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Edoardo Toccaceli put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in A.C. C U R E fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Cristiano Stumpo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexander Gelsomini's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Federico Barducci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Alex De Feo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th match minute, A.C. C U R E was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Barducci to maneuver through the defense. Alexander Gelsomini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 98th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cristiano Stumpo. A.C. C U R E's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The don pepino supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing don pepino would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
