To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Rossetti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emilio Minotti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dennis Grandis in the 54th minute. After 59 played minutes Strozza got a freekick which was hit by Eraldo Flammini. If Bianco Moschetta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Strozza's goal looked a bit too open when Bianco Moschetta came free, but Franco Mara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.C. Pistoiese 1921's Emilio Minotti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save A.C. Pistoiese 1921 from getting a goal against them. Emilio Minotti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Strozza's Amos Felice tried to score from far away in the 99th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The A.C. Pistoiese 1921 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Strozza's performance. The match ended with a win for Strozza.
