With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Aceto in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donato Chiarelli saved Copparo from getting behind. If Ferdinando Ciraci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Real San Zeno's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Tarquini came free, but Fabiano Di Massimo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th play minute Attilio Di Giacomo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fabiano Di Massimo. 1-0. Real San Zeno's Ferdinando Ciraci got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferdinando Ciraci stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ferdinando Ciraci took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Chiarelli. Donato Chiarelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Fabiano Di Massimo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attilio Di Giacomo in the 62nd minute of the match. Fabiano Di Massimo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Copparo. 79 minutes into the match, Attilio Di Giacomo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabiano Di Massimo. Real San Zeno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Attilio Di Giacomo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
