Emiliano Imperatrice made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Bobbio in the 20th minute of play. Pieve Ligure's Francesco Del Grosso got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Berardinelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Del Grosso, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Aurelio Belfiore fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Murelle Vechia's protests and gave Aurelio Belfiore a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Murelle Vechia got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Belfiore. Fausto Nardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Alfredo Berardinelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernesto Bobbio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emiliano Imperatrice. That made the score 1-1 in the 38 minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francesco Del Grosso was the one to do the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Nardi couldn't finish the play. Alfredo Berardinelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenico Giacchetti in the 55th minute of the match. Murelle Vechia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Francesco Del Grosso scored to the left of an out of position Alfredo Berardinelli, making the score, 1-2. Daniele Sansoni kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Francesco Del Grosso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Nardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute of the match, Francesco Del Grosso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfredo Berardinelli saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pieve Ligure's Fausto Nardi got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murelle Vechia's Alfredo Berardinelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Del Grosso in the 86th minute of play. Fabio Mandara might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emiliano Imperatrice. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabio Mandara ran back to his position shaking his head. Pieve Ligure were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
