If Emiliano Helfer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. Saronno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rane Pazze Refundation the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Picciano got free with Anselmo Moretti in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 47 minutes, Emiliano Helfer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saronno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Helfer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Balzani made a kick off. Emiliano Helfer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Alberto Pili when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Emiliano Helfer struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Alberto Pili didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saronno. Emiliano Helfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Saronno players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
