The audience thought a goal was coming when Achille Galeone got free with Fulvio Ragazzoni in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexander Coco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulvio Ragazzoni having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Concetto Lemme got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Achille Galeone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Fulvio Ragazzoni successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
