Aurelio Caniglia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 6 minutes, Aurelio Bobbio made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cordan's Aurelio Caniglia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aurelio Caniglia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Bobbio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Aurelio Bobbio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Cordan's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Bobbio came free, but Aurelio Caniglia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 20 minutes, Ciro Apicella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cordan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Apicella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute Donato Cammarota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Massimini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Donato Cammarota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Cordan's Felice Piscopo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Bagnara AFC's Aurelio Bobbio got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurelio Bobbio struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Aurelio Caniglia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bagnara AFC. In the 43rd minute, Aurelio Bobbio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bagnara AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half Bagnara AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donato Cammarota to strike the kick off in the second half. If Enrico Rocchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aurelio Caniglia made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Enrico Rocchi sent off a good shot on target. Aurelio Caniglia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Bobbio in the 75th minute of play. When Franco Fantozzi fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bagnara AFC's protests and gave Franco Fantozzi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cordan booed when Bagnara AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Fantozzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelio Caniglia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Bobbio's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Enrico Rocchi notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Cordan's Aurelio Caniglia. Aurelio Caniglia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 94 minutes in the game, Enrico Rocchi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aurelio Caniglia having to interfere. A hard shot 97 in the game by Enrico Rocchi from a close distance when the talented Aurelio Caniglia managed to make a qualified save. Cordan's players were relieved. Bagnara AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
