In the 5th minute, Amedeo Pelusi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Federico Marziali was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Federico Marziali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the game, Augusto Verdecchia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.C. Prepo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarmeola FC the free kick. Augusto Verdecchia kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 15thth minute of the game Ferruccio Panino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarmeola FC's Emiliano Foddis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Enzo Di Felice recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of A.C. Prepo booed when Sarmeola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Tomasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amedeo Pelusi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Federico Marziali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Tomasso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Federico Marziali having to make a save. Ferruccio Panino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Emiliano Foddis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A.C. Prepo's Federico Marziali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Gallo in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amedeo Pelusi in the 33rd minute of play forced A.C. Prepo's goalkeeper Federico Marziali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Federico Marziali came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Sarmeola FC's Flavio Tomasso. But to his dismay, Flavio Tomasso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Flavio Tomasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enzo Di Felice fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Foddis having to interfere.

Amedeo Stellato took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emiliano Foddis. Sarmeola FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Amedeo Pelusi kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 57thth minute. Though ot was a great shot A.C. Prepo's keeper Federico Marziali was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. A.C. Prepo's Ferruccio Panino got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emiliano Foddis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferruccio Panino's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Federico Marziali made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amedeo Pelusi in the 76th minute. Amedeo Pelusi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edoardo Stella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enzo Di Felice recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amerigo Guidone charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amerigo Guidone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute, Amerigo Guidone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Sarmeola FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sarmeola FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
