After having played for 25 minutes, Saverio Gergori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torrazza FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saverio Gergori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Anselmo Bardella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Attilio Teodori might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Maggi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Attilio Teodori ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute, Anselmo Di Croce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudio Gulli kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Demetrio Filippini. That made the score 1-1 in the 36 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Gulli in the 40th minute of play forced Torrazza FC's goalkeeper Demetrio Filippini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filippo Goffredo got free with Demetrio Filippini in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Demetrio Filippini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Gulli in the 42nd minute of play. Torrazza FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Claudio Gulli 44 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. In the 47th match minute, Cesenatico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Di Croce to maneuver through the defense.

In the 57th minute Anselmo Di Croce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demetrio Filippini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Corrado Canuto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Demetrio Filippini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Gulli in the 59th minute of the match. Torrazza FC's Demetrio Filippini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Goffredo in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Gulli in the 61st minute of play forced Torrazza FC's goalkeeper Demetrio Filippini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Cesenatico FC's Alvaro Maggi got control of the ball when Anselmo Bardella tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 81 minutes of play, Cesenatico FC's Claudio Gulli made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Demetrio Filippini was left in no man's land by his defense there! Claudio Gulli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesenatico FC's Claudio Gulli got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Corrado Canuto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Torrazza FC's Demetrio Filippini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Gulli in the 92nd minute of play. After 94 minutes of play, Cesenatico FC's Filippo Goffredo made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Demetrio Filippini was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the Torrazza FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cesenatico FC.
