With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmondo Giardini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ferdinando Rigoni hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosimo De Rossi got free with Fedele Finocchio in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Blu Devils's Cristoforo Allemandi got a free kick in the 35th minute. Claudio Santacroce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
