Emiliano De Fina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cornaiano. Emiliano De Fina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eraldo Ranieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Solbiate Olona's goal looked a bit too open when Eraldo Ranieri came free, but Emiliano De Fina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Solbiate Olona's zone, Eugenio Ciaccia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano De Fina came out of the goal and Eugenio Ciaccia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Fausto Raimondi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dario Carlini hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Frank Gismondi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ciccio Gargano didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 32nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 36th minute, Eugenio Ciaccia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Ciaccia in the 38th minute of play forced Solbiate Olona's goalkeeper Emiliano De Fina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenio Ciaccia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Emiliano De Fina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugenio Ciaccia to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Solbiate Olona's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Ciaccia came free, but Emiliano De Fina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugenio Ciaccia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bruno Mannucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th match minute, Cornaiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Ferrara to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Solbiate Olona's Frank Gismondi tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Bruno Mannucci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciccio Gargano. Cornaiano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Mannucci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Eraldo Ranieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Ciaccia in the 87th minute of play forced Solbiate Olona's goalkeeper Emiliano De Fina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniele Frabetti kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Emiliano De Fina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eraldo Ranieri in the 90th minute. Daniele Frabetti charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniele Frabetti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Daniele Frabetti hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Fedele Colangelo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emiliano De Fina. Solbiate Olona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 96th minute Bruno Mannucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciccio Gargano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
