Emilio Scarinci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesare Pantani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Ermanno Carrea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Vulcano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvaro Vulcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermanno Carrea in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Trebbo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corrado Iannucci to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Diego Pittelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ermanno Carrea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Trebbo defense, Alfredo Vittorio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Vulcano. The Trebbo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Vulcano should have stopped the shot. Wadiya FC's Ermanno Carrea got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cesare Pantani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilio Scarinci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Diego Pittelli hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Pittelli during the 77th minute.
