Spectators: 6703 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anselmo Polimeno started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Battedizzo FC got a freekick which was hit by Federico Marinetti. Fedele Pagliuca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Cesarini in the 4th minute of play. Battedizzo FC's Fedele Pagliuca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Di Prinzio in the 7th minute of play. Dave Di Filippo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Pagliuca having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Bianco Citrullo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amedeo Tiburtini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Polimeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the game, Francesco Pani threw the ball into play from the sideline. Spadarolo AFC's Amedeo Reggianini quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Fedele Pagliuca made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Alessio Cesarini sent off a good shot on target. When Alvise Bergomi fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Battedizzo FC's protests and gave Alvise Bergomi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Battedizzo FC's Alvise Bergomi got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute Federico Marinetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amedeo Tiburtini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alessio Cesarini in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fedele Pagliuca saved Battedizzo FC from getting behind. After 33 played minutes Spadarolo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Reggianini. Alessio Cesarinis short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Fedele Pagliuca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fedele Pagliuca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edoardo Santini in the 46th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alessio Cesarini to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Battedizzo FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvise Bergomi. Spadarolo AFC's Dave Di Filippo got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Spadarolo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Polimeno came free, but Amedeo Tiburtini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bianco Citrullo during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Spadarolo AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! Spadarolo AFC:s Amedeo Tiburtini showed great skill when he stopped Biagio Baruffa:s penalty. In the 65th minute of the match Battedizzo FC got a corner. Spadarolo AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Biagio Baruffa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Enzo Sciarretta made a great header on Battedizzo FC's corner, it was just that Spadarolo AFC's Amedeo Tiburtini managed to reach the ball for a save. Dave Di Filippo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dave Di Filippo came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Spadarolo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Di Filippo couldn't finish the play. After 74 played minutes Battedizzo FC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Lucidi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edoardo Santini in the 79th minute of play forced Battedizzo FC's goalkeeper Fedele Pagliuca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amedeo Reggianini struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Fedele Pagliuca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spadarolo AFC. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Alessio Cesarini put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fedele Pagliuca. If Alessio Cesarini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edoardo Santini in the 97th minute of play forced Battedizzo FC's goalkeeper Fedele Pagliuca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Spadarolo AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
