Enrico Palumbo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Enrico Palumbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vallenoncello's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrico Palumbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vallenoncello fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! If Arrigo Pierdomenico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Bearzot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arrigo Pierdomenico, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Biagio Piccioli charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Biagio Piccioli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Biagio Piccioli kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arrigo Pierdomenico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrico Palumbo in the 57th minute of play forced AC Scorpions's goalkeeper Fabiano Piscopo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arrigo Pierdomenico was extremely unlucky when he, in the 60th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Scorpions's goalkeeper Fabiano Piscopo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Corrado Colantonio kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, AC Scorpions's Amedeo Combi tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Enrico Palumbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Piscopo having to interfere. The AC Scorpions players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
