Comunardo Sergi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 12th minute, Emilio Giampietro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Davide Sebastiani came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Arcobaleno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davide Sebastiani couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute Alberto Petrucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Sergi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Armin Spione had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Giampietro got free with Dennis Di Pietro in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elia Canuto hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Arcobaleno's Alberto Petrucci couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Moschini. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Spione in the 44th minute of play forced Arcobaleno's goalkeeper Dennis Di Pietro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Petrucci made a kick off. Armin Spione kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Comunardo Sergi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Petrucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. A collision led to Moschini getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Fulvio Iannone hit a great ball. Emilio Giampietro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Arcobaleno booed when Moschini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmine Marchesani didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Arcobaleno's goal looked a bit too open when Armin Spione came free, but Dennis Di Pietro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Emilio Giampietro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dennis Di Pietro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Giampietro in the 87th minute of the match. Armin Spione sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 90th minute Emilio Giampietro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Di Pietro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Moschini's Emilio Giampietro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dennis Di Pietro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.
