Enrico Nicolini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Comunardo Zollino's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. When Fedele Tenaglia came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Montereale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fedele Tenaglia couldn't finish the play. Frank Gori's late challenge caught a Starcom Roma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Gori helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Frank Gori hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Gori hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Demetrio Coviello made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Fausto Boccanera sent off a good shot on target. After 38 played minutes Starcom Roma got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Villani. Florian De Paolis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florian De Paolis to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Starcom Roma's Alberigo De Santis got a free kick in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Comunardo Zollino in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrico Nicolini saved Starcom Roma from getting behind. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Comunardo Zollino sped through Starcom Roma's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Enrico Nicolini. If Fausto Boccanera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Demetrio Coviello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian De Paolis, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Emilio Bencivenni's late challenge caught a Starcom Roma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrico Nicolini came out of the goal and Comunardo Zollino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 71 minutes of play, Starcom Roma's Fausto Boccanera made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Demetrio Coviello was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fedele Tenaglia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Starcom Roma's Armin Zola got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Starcom Roma's Enrico Nicolini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Starcom Roma from getting a goal against them. Demetrio Coviello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Boccanera in the 95th minute of the match. Florian De Paolis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Demetrio Coviello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Montereale walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
