After 33 minutes, José Terra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malanghero AFC and the Corviale players grew even worse after the yellow card. Diego Pantalone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Augusto Petrini made a huge save. If Sebati Oksay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Concetto Marcantonio was the one to do the kick off. The Corviale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alessio Sanna should have stopped the shot. 65 minutes into the game, Corviale's Diego Pantalone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augusto Petrini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Augusto Petrini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Giannetta in the 69th minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, Corviale's Concetto Marcantonio made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
