In the 12th match minute, Roman FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Comunardo Baciadonne to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Bruciato FC's Dave Apicella slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andrea Scacchi. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Bruciato FC's Dario Gerosa got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute, Edoardo Furia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 27 minutes of play, Bruciato FC's Domenico Bartolucci made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrea Scacchi was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Roman FC's Andrea Scacchi got control of the ball when Domenico Bartolucci tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andrea Scacchi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ennio Burelli in the 35th minute. After 47 played minutes Bruciato FC got a freekick which was hit by Cesare Iacovacci. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuele Persichetti made a kick off. A collision led to Bruciato FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Dave Apicella hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Emanuele Persichetti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Di Placido was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 60 minutes into the match, Roman FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Apicella came free, but Andrea Scacchi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dave Apicella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Dario Gerosa made a precise shot to the right of Andrea Scacchi. Roman FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. If Emanuele Persichetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Emanuele Persichetti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruciato FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Roman FC had controlled the match.
