After a rather tough play, Altamura's Fortunato Valcareggi got a free kick in the 10th minute. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Sigvard Carbuhn took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ernesto Tornese to make any attempt to save it. 17 minutes into the match, Real Rescalda Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Bianco Barberio came free, but Adriano Pasquarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Real Rescalda Fc's zone, Claudio Franceschelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Pasquarelli came out of the goal and Claudio Franceschelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the game, Real Rescalda Fc's Fausto Ascani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Tornese made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 59th minute Fausto Ascani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Tornese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Altamura's Ernesto Tornese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigvard Carbuhn in the 61st minute of play. Altamura's Bianco Barberio got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Dario Conte notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Altamura's Ernesto Tornese. Ernesto Tornese was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 70 minutes, Dario Conte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Rescalda Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Conte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernesto Tornese was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. 91 minutes into the match, Sigvard Carbuhn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Tornese. Altamura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sigvard Carbuhn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-1. Ernesto Tornese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Conte in the 98th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Real Rescalda Fc players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
