Spectators: 6678 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ennio Melis got the match started through his kick off. Dario Maiorano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessio Minicucci in the 2nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alessio Minicucci in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Maiorano saved Sorbo FC from getting behind. Comunardo Iacovella hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Alessio Minicucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Maiorano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Ennio Melis scored to the left of an out of position Andrea Formica, making the score, 2-0. 31 minutes into the game, Comunardo Iacovella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sorbo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Candia the free kick. After 31 played minutes Sorbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Comunardo Iacovella. Sorbo FC's Comunardo Iacovella got his second yellow card of the match in the 32nd minute. The referee ordered Comunardo Iacovella off the ground. In the 45thth minute of the game Alessio Minicucci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sorbo FC's Dario Maiorano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dario Maiorano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Africano in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alessio Minicucci made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Alessio Minicucci fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dario Maiorano, passed just outside the right post. When Alessio Minicucci came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Candia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessio Minicucci couldn't finish the play. After 63 played minutes Candia got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Barberio. Dennis Labate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dennis Labate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Formica having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Minicucci in the 72nd minute of play forced Sorbo FC's goalkeeper Dario Maiorano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlo Africano scored 2-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dario Maiorano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute, Carlo Africano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dario Maiorano. The goal made the score 2-2. Carlo Africano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Dario Maiorano made a huge save. 96 minutes into the match, Dennis Labate notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Candia's Andrea Formica. Andrea Formica was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sorbo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Candia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
