Fedele Senatore was a little too slow when Aurelio Bonsignore got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 26th minute, Z-Team's Angelo Passalacqua seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Angelo Passalacqua the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Z-Team protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Angelo Passalacqua had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 26th minute, one of Z-Team:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Z-Team. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Codemondo AFC. Cristoforo Reali stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fedele Senatore. 2-0. 32 minutes into the match, Petros Tavanidis notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Codemondo AFC's Cristoforo Rosato. Cristoforo Rosato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emiliano Santoro got free with Fedele Senatore in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute Petros Tavanidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Rosato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Petros Tavanidis came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Z-Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petros Tavanidis couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petros Tavanidis to make the kick off. The Z-Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The referee ignored Codemondo AFC's protests and gave Aurelio Bonsignore a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Codemondo AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Aurelio Bonsignore hit a great ball. With a little luck, Codemondo AFC's Cristoforo Rosato got control of the ball when Petros Tavanidis tried to sneak it across the goal line.
