But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amedeo Di Giambattista couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the game, Alessandro Rallo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAN MARINO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alessandria AFC the free kick. After 85 minutes, Concetto Crisantemo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alessandria AFC and the SAN MARINO players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Alessandria AFC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Concetto Crisantemo hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Alessandria AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Mirto came free, but Ernesto De Luca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 minutes of play, SAN MARINO's Amedeo Di Giambattista made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto De Luca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dennis Guerrieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Genovesi, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SAN MARINO fully deserved thier win.
