Cesare Angelici was a little too slow when Attilio Bordon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. Elia Oroni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amerigo Foddis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Domenico Tenaglia sped through Villa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cesare Angelici. A collision led to Villa getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alessio Vitale hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Ermanno Polmone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elia Oroni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Foddis in the 27th minute of play. San Barnaba FC's Elia Oroni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amerigo Foddis in the 30th minute of play. If Cesare Di Tommaso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amerigo Foddis in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elia Oroni saved San Barnaba FC from getting behind. Cesare Di Tommaso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Elia Oroni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of San Barnaba FC booed when Villa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corrado Domenici didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Cesare Angelici managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when San Barnaba FC's Domenico Tenaglia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 49 played minutes San Barnaba FC got a freekick which was hit by Carmine Mameli. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Amerigo Foddis made the kick off in the second half. Amerigo Foddis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domenico Tenaglia in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesare Angelici prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elia Oroni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amerigo Foddis went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Amerigo Foddis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Elia Oroni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amerigo Foddis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elia Oroni having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, San Barnaba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmine Mameli to maneuver through the defense. Amerigo Foddis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elia Oroni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amerigo Foddis in the 80th minute of the match. Carmine Mameli's late challenge caught a Villa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carmine Mameli helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Villa booed when San Barnaba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amerigo Foddis in the 89th minute of play forced San Barnaba FC's goalkeeper Elia Oroni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domenico Tenaglia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Cesare Angelici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. San Barnaba FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
