Amerigo Foddis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacinto Rozarius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Amerigo Foddis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Rozarius having to interfere. Cesare Di Tommaso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Villa's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Gaudino came free, but Cesare Angelici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Villa's Cesare Angelici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Gaudino in the 19th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Emiliano Gaudino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Skrotone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Gaudino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emiliano Gaudino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesare Angelici read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Alessio Vitale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Villa's zone, Federico Perna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesare Angelici came out of the goal and Federico Perna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvise De Michele hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Emiliano Gaudino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesare Angelici having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC Skrotone defense, Cesare Di Tommaso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Rozarius. The FC Skrotone fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Rozarius should have stopped the shot. Dennis Costanzo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 48th minute. Villa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emiliano Gaudino made a kick off. FC Skrotone's Jacinto Rozarius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesare Di Tommaso in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Villa's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Gaudino came free, but Cesare Angelici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis Costanzo charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Costanzo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Federico Perna struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Cesare Angelici didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Skrotone. 72 minutes into the game, one of Villa:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 74th minute, the referee gave FC Skrotone a penalty. Dorel Untilã looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Cesare Angelici. Emiliano Gaudino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesare Angelici read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Villa's zone, Emiliano Gaudino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesare Angelici came out of the goal and Emiliano Gaudino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 played minutes Villa got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Costanzo. Dorel Untilã got in the 82nd minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Cesare Angelici and thus it was 1-3. FC Skrotone's Federico Perna got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Emiliano Gaudino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Federico Perna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Villa getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Alvise De Michele hit a great ball. Federico Perna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Cesare Angelici made a huge save. Cesare Angelici made an important save on a dangerous shot by Federico Perna in the 99th minute. Villa's Alessio Vitale got his second yellow card of the match in the 100th minute. The referee ordered Alessio Vitale off the ground. 103 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dorel Untilã was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Skrotone's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to FC Skrotone's Alessandro Corelli getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The FC Skrotone supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Skrotone would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
