Spectators: 6689 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cosimo Mastrangelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argate Brianza. In the 5th minute, one of Poggio:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Poggio. Frank Lelli kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Ciccio Valcareggi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuele Andreozzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosimo Mastrangelo having to interfere. Ciccio Valcareggi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cosimo Mastrangelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuele Andreozzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cosimo Mastrangelo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Argate Brianza's Eugenio Nola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Carbonaro in the 25th minute of play. Ciccio Valcareggi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Argate Brianza's goalkeeper Eugenio Nola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Argate Brianza were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Carbonaro to strike the kick off in the second half. Emanuele Andreozzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosimo Mastrangelo having to interfere. Cosimo Mastrangelo made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Ciccio Valcareggi sent off a good shot on target. Armando Della Rocca took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eugenio Nola. Argate Brianza's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Poggio's Frank Lelli got a free kick in the 60th minute. Ernesto Marsilio hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Emanuele Andreozzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67th play minutes Ciccio Valcareggi shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Cosimo Mastrangelo and just under the crossbar into goal. Ciccio Valcareggi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Argate Brianza's Ciccio Valcareggi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cosimo Mastrangelo. That made the score 0-4 after 77 minutes of play. After 82 minutes, Armin Pettinelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poggio and the Argate Brianza players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Poggio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armin Pettinelli to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Ciccio Valcareggi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argate Brianza's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciccio Valcareggi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosimo Mastrangelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cosimo Mastrangelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuele Andreozzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Argate Brianza's Emanuele Andreozzi got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Poggio fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Argate Brianza were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
