In the 56th minute, Comunardo Croce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Roma Galaxy booed when Vimodrone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlo De Felice didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogdan Mateescu couldn't finish the play. Roma Galaxy's Ernesto Toschi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Roma Galaxy from getting a goal against them. Amerigo Ali's late challenge caught a Roma Galaxy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amerigo Ali helped the player get up and apologised. Vimodrone's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
