Fortunato Belfiore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Oriali having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Pinco Pallino Joe's Filippo Flocco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bianco Puglielli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Pinco Pallino Joe were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Aurelio Vaiani made the kick off in the second half. When Alberto Del Papa came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Pinco Pallino Joe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Del Papa couldn't finish the play. Fortunato Belfiore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Francesco Garofoli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castel Guelfo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinco Pallino Joe the free kick. The supporters of Pinco Pallino Joe booed when Castel Guelfo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Garofoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fortunato Belfiore struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Alex Oriali didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castel Guelfo FC. 73 minutes into the match, Castel Guelfo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Vaiani came free, but Bianco Puglielli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pinco Pallino Joe's Aurelio Vaiani got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot by Carter Donati from long distance, 79 minutes into the match, got Bianco Puglielli's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After having played for 82 minutes, Aurelio Vaiani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinco Pallino Joe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Vaiani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelio Vaiani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
